I've always had a love for dancing and on one of my many trips home to Monroe, LA from the ripe age of 21 I discovered line dancing. I frequented my home state 3 times a year but it was not until 2010 upon returning from one of my trips that I decided to research line dancing in Boston, MA where I reside. In my research, I stumbled upon New England Soul Line Dancing in which I began attending Wednesday classes until Tracy Smith, Founder, and Betty Cohen, co-Founder started The Boston Line Dance Group in 2011. Classes were on a Tuesday which was a better fit for my schedule.
In 2012 I began assisting Betty Cohen, co-founder, TBLDG with instructing class after the untimely passing of the Founder, Tracy Smith.
I assisted with The Boston Line Dance Group Classes for 4 years even in between starting my own group called the Brockton Urban Line Dancers in Brockton, MA in 2015. I also host "Sashay Saturday" line dance social that takes place the first Saturday of each month where line dancers and non-line dancers are welcomed to partake in 5 hours of line dancing from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. which runs karaoke style.
I am also involved in the community by volunteering at the annual Brockton community event instructing all who would like to learn a line dance.
